Leadership Opportunities
Student Council
Our school leaders are composed of 4th and 5th grade students. These students organize and run assemblies, Pleasant Pride days, morning announcements, lead 4th-5th grade exercises, promote and create dress-up days and other fun opportunities to compete in the annual “Class of the Year” competition.
Teacher Lead Committees (TLC)
Each teacher is to play a role in one of our TLCs. We will meet monthly on a Wednesday during our professional development day to plan and organize events for the months following. Our TLCs are as follows:

News Crew
NEWS CREW is a year-long opportunity for 4th and 5th grade students who create a monthly newscast for the school. The club will consist of bi-weekly meetings. Some of the skills they will focus on are: teamwork, brainstorming, script writing, videography, organization, deadlines, and proper interview techniques. NEWS CREW is busy, exciting, and FUN.
Cubbie Buddies
Each classroom has a buddy class they meet with on the last Wednesday of each month. The classes work together on reinforcing our CLIMB Matrix in fun engaging activities that the teachers plan. The students enjoy working with each other.
