Our Response to Intervention
At Pleasant Elementary, we believe that every child has the ability to learn at their own structured and leveled pace. Therefore, we have designed our Response to Intervention (RTI) programs around the various instructional needs of our students. During our Walk to Reading and Walk to Math programs, students can expect to be using a multitude of programs and curriculums that will help them succeed academically at our school. These programs include: 95% Phonics Instruction, Reading Mastery, Read Naturally Live, iOS Educational Assessments, What’s My Place, What’s My Value, and Accelerated Math.
After-School RTI Programs
Our District provides several different after-school programs tailored to fit the needs of your child’s interests. The District after-school programs and resources page provides more information about these opportunities.
As a school site, we offer after-school tutoring sessions. The program begins in October and ends in May. Each session is grouped by grade level and meets right after school for 30 minutes three times a week. Below is the current schedule for tutoring:
