A Message from Our Principal

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Our 2016-2017 year has ended, and we are preparing the way for our next school year! Pleasant Elementary is known for all of the wonderful contributions it gives to do what is best for students while creating lifelong learners. I look forward to our wonderful staff continuing to implement learning experiences that our best for our students as well as introducing new programs to support our standard based instruction.

We will continue to implement technology as a school with additional technology being put into each classroom to support learning. Students in grades 3-5 will continue to have class sets of Chromebooks. We are also excited to add class sets of Chromebooks to our second grade classrooms this year.

This year, we will continue to encourage our teachers and students to find additional field trips and learning experiences that will enhance the curriculum. Pleasant School’s PTO continues to be active and assist in these opportunities by providing additional funding in correlation to school budgets. We are blessed to have such an active PTO that focuses on student engagement and learning. I encourage all families to get involved, and join us in our meetings and events!

This year, we will implement a new positive behavior matrix that will support students. We will implement our motto: Bears C.L.I.M.B. with Character. Students will understand what it means to care, listen, show integrity, demonstrate manners, and be brilliant!

I look forward to working with the amazing staff, fantastic students, and supportive families and surrounding community! Please know my door is always open. The more we work together, the better the educational experience for everyone involved!
