Site Activities

We give the pennant to students once they enroll at Pleasant Elementary. All students may earn pins by participating in various activities which they attach to their pennant. The purpose of this award is to recognize well-rounded individuals who exemplify the qualities that Pleasant Elementary hopes to foster in all of its students. The Pleasant Pride Pennants travel with the student each year they are enrolled at Pleasant Elementary. Students will see their pennants displayed in their classroom for the entire school year. After completing 5th grade at Pleasant Elementary, the students take home the pennants as a symbol of remembrance. Pins vary by grade and awards are for various accomplishments.   • Frog: Kindergarten Froggy Words
  • Math Paw: 3rd Grade Math Timed Tests

  • Treble Clef Pin: Band/Strings
  • Outstanding Musician Pin: Two per year for band student
  • Choir Pin: Choir Students
• Sports
  • Winged Foot Pin: Turkey Trot winner and/or Run the Max
  • Field Day Pin: District Track & Field Day

  • Bronze Star Pin: Trimester perfect attendance
  • Silver Star Pin: 1-5 absences per year
  • Perfect Attendance Pin: 100% attendance per year

  • Student of the Month Pin: Character Counts Student of the Month
  • Bear Pin: Bear/Bear Cub of the Month
  • Top Score Pin: Advanced on the SBAC in ELA & Mathematics
  • Essay Award Pin: 5th grade Patriotic Essay winner from each 5th grade
  • Spelling Bee Pin: 1st-4th place
